Main knowledge and skills gained from the studies that is relevant for your internship:

I have studied many subjects in animal science, for example: Breeding and animal genetics; animal anatomy and physiology; veterinary pharmacology; breeding techniques and disease prevention for pigs, buffaloes, cows and goats; experimental methods on animals; Animal feed and nutrition; livestock hygiene; veterinary law; etc.

I have 4 months of experience working at a pig farm in the farrowing barn position in Denmark. My main responsibilities are:

– Assisting in farrowing for pigs

– Taking care of piglets: feeding sows, cleaning stable, washing stable, checking pigs, vaccinating, and breeding.

In addition, I spent time doing an agricultural internship in Israel on a grape farm, helping the owner harvest grapes and making wine.

My family is purely agricultural, since I was young I have been exposed to farm work, and my family also has a small-scale farm.

With the above experience, I am confident that I can quickly adapt to the new environment.

Furthermore, my passion for veterinary medicine stems not only from a desire to enrich my knowledge but also from the heart of a farmer’s child. I understand the vital role that animal health plays in the sustainable development of agriculture. This motivated my decision to study veterinary medicine, allowing me to combine a solid understanding of agriculture with skills in animal health care, aiming for comprehensive and sustainable development for both the industry and my community.
